B&O Trail Association 2026 Annual Meeting

We will hold our annual meeting at the Washington Township Pavilion located at 435 Whipple Lane in Avon, IN.  This meeting will start at 7:00pm and is open to the public.  No RSVP is required.  We will present an exciting update about how 2025 was a transformative year for the B&O Trail plus present more information about our future westward expansion plans in 2026 and beyond.  Additionally, Greg Midgley will be a guest speaker to present updates on the National Road Heritage Trail in Marion, Hendricks and Putnam County.

The Indiana Trail Riders Association will hold their annual meeting, pitch-in luncheon and silent auction starting at 11:00am at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Plainfield, IN.

Celebrate Trails Day

Watch our social media feeds and this page for future updates as we develop plans for a fun day to celebrate trails.  We are planning to host a SAG stop at our Tilden Trailhead complete with refreshments and information about the development of the B&O Trail.  Stop by to see us and check out the new "Homeward" sculpture that was recently installed at the trailhead.

Annual Big Sit Bird Watch Event

The annual Big Sit Bird Watch on the White Lick Creek bridge returns to the B&O Trail. This free event goes from dawn to noon and features experienced bird watchers who track bird species by sight and sound throughout the morning.  Connect with Mother Nature at a spectacular spot on the B&O Trail and learn about dozens of different bird species who live or migrate through central Indiana.  Park at Green Street and walk a half-mile west to the bridge for this event.
